The Department of commerce of PRDS College has a history of academic excellence since the establishment of the college. The Department offers a dynamic and comprehensive academic environment, dedicated to nurturing future professionals in the field of commerce. The department provides a Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) B.Com with specialisations in Cooperation and Marketing, equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills relevant to today’s business world. Additionally, the department offers a postgraduate programme—Master of Commerce and Management—designed to deepen students’ understanding of advanced commerce and management concepts, preparing them for leadership roles in academia, industry, and entrepreneurship. The department is one of the strongest departments in terms of student enrollment and in achievement of results.
Ms. VEENAMOL RAJ joined the Department of Commerce as Guest Lecturer in the year 2021 and is continuing as such. Currently she is the Head of the Department of Commerce. In addition to her teaching experiences,she has got Six months BPO experience at CAMEO Corporate Services Ltd. She has worked in various fields like Customer Perception and Usage of Internet banking , saving habits among working women in private sector. Actively involved in Study on the effects of social media behavior among college students and comparative study on the work life of the employees of public and private sector banks in Kerala.
