Priyanka Nair N A

MA, B.Ed, NET

Ms. Priyanka Nair N. A. is the Head of the Department of English. She did her BA and MA at St. Thomas College, Kozhencherry, and qualified NET in 2012. She has rich teaching experiences, and joined as a faculty member at PRDS College of Arts and Science in 2018. She published research articles in peer- reviewed journals. Her areas of interest include Cultural Studies, Literary Criticism and Folklore Studies.

Ms. NISHAMOL M

MA (Political Science), NET

Ms. Nishamol M is a Guest Lecturer in the department of Political Science. She is professional, caring, and organized teacher with over 6 years of experience teaching multiple grades. She is dedicated to providing students with learning activities that support their emotional, intellectual, social, and physical growth. Her focus is on helping students develop the skills necessary to succeed in future life and career. She holds a B.A. (2003), B.Ed. (2006), and M.A. (2009) from M.G. University, and is proficient in MS Office. Nisha has 5 years of experience teaching in higher secondary schools and 2 years of experience at the college level.

Dr. Rajeev Mohan

MA (Malayalam),B.Ed, NET, MPhil, Phd

Dr. Rajeev Mohan is a postgraduate in Malayalam Literature with M.A., B.Ed., M.Phil., and UGC NET qualifications. I completed my Ph.D. at the School of Letters, Mahatma Gandhi University, on the topic “Dalit Politics and Renaissance Movements in Kerala: A Study with Special Reference to the Prathyaksha Raksha Daiva Sabha (PRDS).” His doctoral thesis was given a special mention for the Prof. T. V. Shashi Memorial Award. He regularly contributes studies, articles, and short stories to mainstream media. One of his essays has also been included in the undergraduate Malayalam syllabus of Mahatma Gandhi University. He has several publications to his credit in the field of literature and have actively participated in numerous national seminars. For the past four years he has been working as a Malayalam lecturer at PRDS College.

Ms. SRUTHY K RAJU

MSc (Statistics)

Ms. Sruthy K Raju is the faculty Of Statistics Department. She has a teaching experience of 6 months. She has completed MSc from M.G University .She has good communication skills and flexible to diverse learning needs.

Mr. Anil PC

MA (History),NET, MPhil

Mr. Anil PC is a Guest Lecturer in the Department of History at PRDS College of Arts and Science, Amara. He holds an M.Phil. and M.A. in History from Mahatma Gandhi University and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. research on Museums in Kerala. He has qualified UGC NET (History) in 2019 and has teaching experience at institutions including M.G. University, St. Thomas College Palai, and SVR NSS College Vazhoor. He has presented research at the Indian History Congress and participated in several national and international seminars. His areas of academic interest include Museum Studies, Colonial History, and Medieval Indian History.

Dr.KILMA.I.K

MA (Hindi),MPhil,Phd

Dr.KILMA.I.K is the faculty of Hindi department. She has a teaching experience of 1 year. She completed, P.G. from Calicut University, Mphil from CUSAT, and PhD from Mahatma Gandhi University. She was published Articles In Gaveshana(Ugc carelist)Akshara,Nagfani,Magazines(Peer reviewed). She also presented paper in national seminar .Also she has a good communication skill and flexible to diverse learning needs.

SARANYA E R

Msc BEd

Mrs.Saranya E.R. is the Head of the Department of Mathematics. She completed her BSc and MSc at NSS Hindu College, Changanacherry and BEd from NSS Training college Perunna. She has qualified KTET Category 2 and Category 3. She previously worked at Government Higher Secondary School, Thottakkaad. She has been working in PRDS College of Arts and Science as a faculty member since 2024.

Saranya Ajithkumar

MA ECONOMICS, NET

Mrs. Saranya Ajithkumar is the Head of the Department of Economics. She joined the Department of Economics in 2025 as a Guest Lecturer. She completed her graduation from Mar Ivanios College, Trivandrum, and post-graduation from Fatima Mata National College, Kollam, securing the second rank from the University of Kerala, and cleared the UGC NET in 2014. She has teaching experience as an ad-hoc faculty at Fatima Mata National College, Kollam, and NSS Hindu College, Changanacherry, and has published six international and one national paper in addition to presenting at national and international conferences. She has been inducted into the pool of Academic Counsellors at Sree Narayana Guru Open University. She is currently pursuing her PhD at MG University, with research interests in Gender Studies and Developmental Economics.

Dr.Shajeela Rani A

M.Com (Finance), NET, MPhil, Phd (MS University,Thirunelveli)

Dr. Shajeela Rani A is the Head of the Department of Commerce and Guest Lecturer with over five years of teaching experience. She is a UGC NET holder and holds a Ph.D. in Commerce, Marketing Management on the Problems of Dairy Industry in Kerala and has worked as a Career Counselor at Lifology. She has been inducted into the pool of Academic Counselors of Sree Narayana Guru Open University, Kollam. She has published papers in UGC CARE and Scopus indexed journals, presented in national and international conferences, and received the Alumni Association Award for securing the college topper position from Sree Narayana College, Kollam. Her academic interests include Marketing Management and Income Tax.

DR. P.V. SASI

Principal

After acquiring the Post Graduate degree in Chemistry from St. Thomas College, Pala he started his career as Assistant Chemist at FACT (CD), Aluva in 1985. He then moved to Cochin Refinery Ltd (CRL) and worked as Associate Chief Chemist and by 1987 onwards he entered in Collegiate Education service. He worked at Govt. Polytechnic College Vennikulam then promoted and posted as Lecturer in Chemistry at Govt. Victoria College Palakad. After six years of services he was posted at Maharaja’s College Ernakulam as Selection Grade Lecturer. He served there for 20 years in various capacities like, Coordinator, B.Sc Chemistry (Environment & Water Management Course), Chairman- Board of Examiners, B.Sc Environmental Chemistry, Convener Expert Committee, Convener Scholar Support Programme, Subject Expert Panel of Kerala Public Service Commission.. In the course of time he took his Ph, D degree from Mahatma Gandhi University in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and has deep knowledge in Retro synthetic Analysis, Isolation of Natural Products, Physical Chemistry, Spectroscopy, Quantum Chemistry and Analytical Techniques. He has organized Science Popularization Lecture Series, Science day celebrations, actively involved as Joint Coordinator in PAC meeting, Patent Awareness Workshop and also the Indian Association of Chemistry Teachers meeting. He conducted various Science Extension Programmes. In connection with his research work of isolation in crystalline form of Garcinia and Hibiscus Acids, he was awarded 2 Indian Patents and 1 American Patent. There were several publications in peer –reviewed journals. In 2010 he joined in the Department of Chemistry, Government College, Kottayam and served as the Head of Department and also became the Principal of this college in 2014. In 2015 he was appointed as First Grade Principal at Maharaja’s College Ernakulam and by 2016 he retired as the Deputy Director of Collegiate Education, Zonal office Thrissur. While he was working as visiting faculty in Chemistry at Institute of Integrated Programm and Research in Basic Sciences (IIRBS), MG University he took charge as the Principal of PRDS College of Arts & Science, Amara, Changanacherry in the year 2021.

An Analysis on the basis of Introduction to Giorgio Agamben’s Homo Sacer: Sovereign Power and Bare Life” in the Three-Day International Conference on Cultural Studies organized by Department of Languages, KVM College of Arts and Sciences, Cherthala in collaboration with Kerala State Higher Education Council on 26-28 February 2020.
